The Palma Congress Center will host the TaPalma 2018 contest

The Palma Congress Center will host, on October 29, the TaPalma 2018 Competition, thanks to the collaboration with Meliá Hotels International. Thus, the convention center opens its doors to the largest tapas and cocktail event in the city, held two days before the start of the TaPalma Route, an unmissable event of the island’s gastronomic activity that aims to position Mallorca, and very specifically its capital, as a nerve center of Spanish cuisine.

The TaPalma Route is the tapas & cocktails fair par excellence of the city and this edition will take place between October 31 and November 4 across Palma’s main gastronomic itineraries.

TaPalma celebrates the tapas & cocktail contest two days before the start of the route, following the model of national gastronomic competitions. In this way, on Monday, October 29, the TaPalma 2018 competition will be held at the Palma Congress Center, as well as the fair aimed both at professionals and the general public.

There will be three prize categories: TaPalma 2018, Thematic Top, and TaPalma 2018 cocktail. In each of these three categories there will be prizes of gold, silver and bronze.

Like every year, a jury made up of chefs and bartenders of recognized national and international prestige, as well as expert journalists and gastronomic bloggers, will decide the winners of this year.

The contest will be open to the public, and in addition it will be able to see in streaming and in social networks 'live' the elaboration of the tapas and cocktails that participate.
