“Gente Viajera”, the first travel radio show in Spain, returns to Palma Congress Center

Gente Viajera, the reference tourist information’s radio show in Spain, went live from the Congress Center in Palma for the second time. Presented by the popular Spanish journalist Esther Eiros, Gente Viajera has been on the air for 25 years bringing the best of each destination to its audience.

This season, the show has returned to Mallorca and, specifically, to the Congress Center, which it visited in 2017. Thus, on September 16, the major venue in Palma hosted the entire team and became the protagonist of the show, which once again highlighted the great attributes of the city as a tourist destination 365 days a year and the development of business tourism on the island since this great facility opened its doors last year.

In addition to some of its regular collaborators, the show had numerous guests who helped to highlight the tourist offer in Mallorca, such as Alex Hugot, Vice President of Global Brand Management of Meliá Hotels International, who shared the philosophy of the hotel group, which manages the Congress Center. With Mercedes Garrido, Councilor for Territory and Infrastructure of the Mallorca government, we discovered how Mallorca is becoming a sustainable and "intelligent island". The Councilor for Tourism, Trade and Labor of Palma, Joana María Adrover, highlighted the opportunities that the capital offers throughout the year, such as its gastronomy offer. One of the most popular culinary personalities in the island, chef Adrián Quetglás (with a Michelin star) also participated in the show, together with Enrique Dominguez Uceta, who introduced the audience to the Mallorcan heritage and culture. Ángel Martínez Bermejo led to discover a Majorca off the conventional routes and Kike del Olmo surprised with his "letter to Mallorca".
