Solidarity concert of the "Blauets of Lluc"

The Palau de Congressos de Palma hosted a new solidarity concert on Saturday, August 25, in favour of the Projecte Jove Foundation, belonging to Projecte Home Balears. The recital was offered by the Choir of the Escolanía de Lluc, popularly known as Es Blauets, in allusion to the blue color of the cassock they wear during their performances.

Established in 1531, the Choir of the Blauets de Lluc is one of the oldest cultural institutions on the European continent and, without doubt, one of the main cultural values of Mallorca. At the moment it is composed by a group of forty children, and one of its most popular performances is the traditional Cant de la Sibil • la, a song of medieval origin designated by Unesco as part of the world heritage, which they perform every 24th of December.

On this occasion, they performed in the main auditorium of the Palau de Congressos in the company of the Dagilelis Choir of Lithuania, one of the Baltic's most prestigious children's and youth's choirs.

The money raised will go directly to support the Projecte Jove Foundation (Projecte Home Balears).
