Meliá Palma Bay, named Best Hotel for Congress and Conference in Spain
The hotel, part of the Palma Convention Center complex, has been recognized at the XII Roca Awards for the Hotel Initiative. Organized by the Gran Hotel Turismo magazine, member of Curt Ediciones Group, these awards pay tribute to hotels and hoteliers for their contribution to a sector that is constantly on renovation. The gala was held at the Roca Madrid Gallery on June 7, gathering more than 250 guests, representatives of the hotel, tourism and gastronomy sector.
Meliá Palma Bay, which opened its doors a year ago, has already positioned itself as one of the best Spanish establishments in the bleisure segment, the new trend in the travel industry that combines business and leisure travel. Thus, bleisure hotels are characterized by completing the traditional services of a business hotel with a varied complementary offer, which enriches the client's stay and allows them to enjoy a local experience in the destination.
The Palma Convention Center, which received the Spanish Architecture Prize in 2017, is one of the few Congress and Convention Centres that also have a hotel attached, providing an excellent alternative for the accommodation of congress attendees as well as a range of dining and leisure facilities which are attractive to both Palma residents and visitors alike.
Meliá Palma Bay is perfectly located at one end of the Paseo Marítimo and is the closest hotel to the beach in Palma, as it is less than 50 meters away from the Ca'n Pere Antoni beach. Customers can access the main points of interest of the city on foot, and can even go along the promenade by bicycle, which can be rented at the hotel.
The hotel has 268 rooms - including the The Level rooms, the VIP concept of the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand - and a varied complementary offer, including a spa, an all-day-dining restaurant, a swimming pool and rooftop bar with stunning views of the bay of Palma, gym and meeting rooms.
The online reputation index of the hotel, after only one year of operation, is around 90%, a figure higher than the average of its competitors in the area.
