"Mallorca Degusta SER Foodie", first gastronomic show of the wine, vermouth and the Majorcan “variat”
The Palma Convention Center hosted on 16, 17 and 18 March the first gastronomic exhibition "Mallorca Degusta SER Foodie, wine, vermouth and Majorcan variat", with the aim of becoming the great showcase of Majorcan culinary culture. The exhibition allowed visitors to taste the main wines, vermouths, tapas and the most appetizing creations of the island’s wineries, restaurants and chefs.
The exhibition, organized by Grup Disset and promoted by SER Foodie, the gastronomic portal of the Radio Mallorca website, aims to reaffirm the Majorcan variat, one of the gastronomic gems of Majorcan cuisine. In the words of the chef Pau Navarro, we proclaim the Mallorcan variat as "a culinary orgy, the combination of the icons of the most homemade and classic cuisine, served in Mallorca’s villages and neighborhood temples. A moment to let oneself be carried away by the most earthly pleasures of life".
The exhibition had more than 30 tasting booths, with the presence of the most important Majorcan wineries: Macià Batle, José L. Ferrer, Dos Perellons, Son Bordils, Vins Can Nadal, Armero Adrover, La Vermutera; the restaurants: Celler de Can Amer of Inca, restaurant Es Cruce, bar Mavi, restaurant Tragaluz by Melià, restaurant Can Arabí, restaurant Can Beia, among others, and the chefs: Pau Navarro and Ariadna Salvador from the Clandestí Gastronomic Workshop, Maria Salinas and Juan José Escolano. Visitors also enjoyed live music performances with the DJs of “LOS40” radio station. The event also had an area of "gastro culture", with the exhibition of the latest works of the gastronomic photographer Cristina Ortega.
The humorous and gastronomic show of the “Cadena SER” radio station, Canela Fina, was held in the Convention Center the day before, being the starting point of the first gastronomic exhibition "Mallorca Degusta SER Foodie".
